About parceldata
A free, anonymous index of New Jersey property records. The same public data the state already publishes — made queryable in one place.
Where the data comes from
- MOD-IV 2025 tax rolls (NJ Treasury) — re-imported annually. Drives the property table: location, class, year built, dwelling units, assessment.
- SR1A YTD 2026 sales (NJ Treasury) — re-imported weekly. Drives the sales table: deed book/page, recorded date, sale price.
- 21 county clerk portals — recorded deed PDFs are fetched on demand. Most counties are automated; a handful are manual-only (paywalls or missing portals).
- NJGIN parcel polygons — statewide GeoJSON layer joined on PAMS_PIN. (TODO — schedule depends on NJGIN's publish cadence.)
- US Census Geocoder — free, no key. Used for free-text address search ("100 Broughton Ave, Bloomfield NJ").
Limits
- Anonymous search: 60 / 10 minutes / IP
- Property page views: 200 / 10 minutes / IP
- Deed fetches: 5 / day / IP, 50 / day total
- Map / GeoJSON: 30 / minute / IP
Hit the wall? Self-host (it's open data) or grab an API key when paid tier ships.
Open data, open code
Property records are public records. This site doesn't gate anything that NJ Treasury or the county clerks already publish. The deed-fetch adapters reverse- engineer the public clerk portals — no scraping of paywalled or proprietary feeds.
Privacy
We log API calls (request id, endpoint, latency, status) and your masked IP for rate-limiting. We don't sell anything. We don't run trackers.
